Inform has a strong reputation for innovation gained from a history of leading-edge workforce benchmarking and reporting delivery.

Pre-1982

Peter Howes was a member of the Academic Staff at the Queensland University of Technology, Australia.

1982-1985

Peter Howes creates HRM Consulting, conducting public workshops and consulting projects. He worked with PC-based human resource information systems and on the development of Orion (now Aurion) software.

1985-1988

Joint venture with BHP, Commonwealth Government, Goodyear, and Caltex to expand the HRIS mini and mainframe environment.

1988-1992

Joint venture with Wang and the subsequent sale of the existing system to Wang.

1992-1995

Introduction and development of the HR Benchmark program and systems to Australia.

1995-2002

Commenced development of the Inform Program. Expansion with equity partners, Anastasia Ellerby (Consulting) and Jonathan Terrell (IT). Automation of extracts, delivery of reporting via website, and work with SAP Waldorf USA, the Saratoga Institute, the Corporate Leadership Council, and the Corporate Executive Board.

2002-2006

Growth in memberships and staff numbers double, leading to a move to custom-designed facilities in Milton, Queensland, Australia. Substantial development in product offerings and sophistication of the Inform Program, coupled with outstanding demand for consulting projects by members and workshop attendee organizations.

2006-2009

Inform assumes full operating responsibility for CLC Metrics, initially created as a joint initiative between the Corporate Leadership Council (CLC) and Inform in 2001. Global expansion of The Inform Academy, with public workshop series held in London and eight major U.S. cities.

2010

SuccessFactors, the global leader in Business Execution Software, signs an agreement to acquire Inform. The combined offering accelerates our customers' ability to execute on their strategy.
