Inform is a human resources consultancy that provides employers with analysis and strategic advice to allow them to better manage their Human Resources.

Inform is firmly committed to maintaining individuals' information privacy in accordance with this Privacy Policy and with the National Privacy Principles.

Personal information is any information that Inform records about you, where your identity is reasonably ascertainable from the record. It may range from the everyday (e.g. address and phone number) to the very sensitive (e.g. medical condition or equal employment opportunity information).

Information that Inform collects

Inform only collects personal information about individuals where it is necessary to do so to provide services to its clients or for the management of its business.

Wherever practicable, Inform will preserve your anonymity by using de-identified information (that is, information from which the identity of the individual is not reasonably ascertainable to Inform) instead of personal information.

When Inform does collect personal information, the types of details collected generally include details about clients, representatives of clients and employees of clients.

Personal information collected about client employees may include age, gender, length of service, job title and description, remuneration, absences from work and other information from a client's human resources records. This information is used to provide Inform clients with analysis and strategic advice about the client's management of its Human Resources.

Personal information collected about clients and client representatives is generally contact information such as the individual's name, phone and fax numbers and e-mail address. This information is used to keep in contact with clients and to keep clients informed about developments in the Human Resources field.

Sometimes Inform will collect Sensitive Information such as information about an individual's health or disability. Where required by the National Privacy Principles, Inform will obtain the individual's consent before collecting Sensitive Information.

Accessing your information

Individuals are generally entitled to access to personal information that Inform holds about them. If you would like access to any personal information about you, please contact us.

To ensure your privacy and that of other individuals, you will need to provide us with appropriate identification before we will grant you access. We will try to respond to your request as soon as possible. Generally, we expect to be able to send an acknowledgement of receipt of your request within two business days and to provide access within 14 to 28 days.

If we decide not to allow you access to the information, we will give you reasons for our decision.

We do not charge a fee for lodging an access request. However, we may charge you a fee for providing access commensurate with the time and resources required to grant you access, including the cost of any intermediaries used.

Corrections

Inform takes reasonable steps to ensure that the information it collects, uses and discloses is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, if you consider that personal information held about you is not accurate, complete and up-to-date, then you may ask us to correct it. If the information is incorrect, we will take steps to correct it.

If we disagree with you, we will provide you with reasons. If you still disagree, you may ask us to place a statement of your objection with the personal information. We will take reasonable steps to place the statement with the information.

Complaints

Your privacy is important to us, so we value your feedback.

If you would like to make a complaint, or if you have any comments or questions in relation to our management of personal information, please contact us.

To allow us to more effectively investigate and respond to your complaint, we may ask you to give details in writing.

We will endeavor to resolve any problems promptly. We aim to acknowledge receipt of your written complaint within two business days and then to resolve your complaint within 14 days.

Where the complaint and the investigations required are not straightforward, we will contact you with an estimate of the time required to fully examine the complaint. If more involved or complex investigations need to be conducted, we will endeavor to keep you informed as to their progress. We aim to resolve all complaints within 60 days.

If we are unable to resolve the complaint, you are not satisfied with our response, or where you have not received our reply within a reasonable time (usually 60 days), you may contact the Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner who will conciliate the matter.

Your privacy on the Inform website

Inform does not collect personally identifiable information as you browse this website. On some pages of the site we use cookies to collect traffic data; however, this data is anonymous.

If you contact Inform using any of our online contact or registration forms, we require you to provide us with limited personal information. This may range from a return email address and phone number to basic information about your organization so that we may better understand your needs. These details, and any further information provided by you in the "Comments" field, will be treated by Inform as confidential and not disclosed to any third parties.
